UDCA - Motor City Makeover

Organized by University District Community Association (UDCA)

The University District Community Association (UDCA) hosted by their  Beautification Committee invites you to participate in this year’s “Motor City Makeover” on Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What to Expect

Motor City Makeover is an annual city-wide volunteer cleanup and beautification initiative. This year, the UDCA Beautification Committee is getting volunteers together to clean up and beautify our neighborhood in prep for Spring and invite you to join us!

Come ready to help beautify our neighborhood. We will be clearing away any trash that has built up over the winter along 6 and 7 Mile Road, weeding various garden beds and planters around the neighborhood, and planting beautiful new flowers to kick things off this spring. We recommend bringing a water bottle so you can stay hydrated!

Please come ready to get your hands dirty, and don’t forget to bring your green thumb. We will have garden tools, bags, gloves, and other gardening supplies, but we encourage you to bring your own gloves or other garden tools that you enjoy using most. We will be kicking things off at Belden Park (I will be set up there as the home base all day), snacks and coffee will be provided to make sure you’re ready to hit the dirt running. We will gather the group, come up with a game plan, and divide and conquer!

Please contact Miranda Suman: Miranda.s@me.com Phone: (614) 599-7766 for questions.
